CESAREAN RECOVERY

Divine Pilates of Portland is pleased to offer the only Cesarean Recovery class in the area. Corenection-"Pilates and other tools for Cesarean Recovery. Please check with your healthcare provider before beginning any exercise routine. It is recommended to wait at least 6 weeks post surgery before starting moderate exercise.

1) Breathe deeply. Use your diaphragm to expel stale, old air and breath fresh, renewed air into your body.

2) Get myofascial massage on your scar.

3) Do a hot castor oil compress to draw out toxins and old "emotional baggage" from your scar and core area.

4) Exercise. Any exercise is better than no exercise and movement can help elevate mood and bonding with your baby.

5) Re-birth with your baby your ideal birth.

6) Talk with your baby about your feelings around your labor and delivery.

7) Ask for and receive support from others.

8) When you are ready and done nursing,. Go on a cleanse or fast to remove toxins and "emotional constipation"

9) Have your adrenal/hormones levels checked if you are still feeling tired, foggy, overwhelmed but have been sleeping relatively well for sometime.

10) Get acupuncture to open up blockages.
